What are your job responsibilities?
Identify new business opportunities, this means to stay abreast of what is happening in the mining industry and in the world economy and to understand what my company is up to on an ongoing basis to better understand my company’s strategy.

Give specific details about one of your job duties:
I prepare market updates for management of the company to provide them with an overview of what is happening in our industry, including public market valuations, production and project data, and M&A news.

What’s your favorite part of your job?
Learning something new every day and interacting with the different areas of the company.

What’s the most challenging part of your job?
Multitasking, we work on multiple projects at once.

What’s your advice to young people thinking about entering the mining industry?
Recognize your education is key to your success, but never stop learning; there are always opportunities to learn and the mining industry presents unmatched opportunities.

What the best part about working in the mining industry?
Mining is a fascinating industry to work in, and to know that my work contributes to the company’s positive impact on the environment and local communities where it operates, makes me feel proud of myself.
